What we owe each other.
Plain terms for a training course. Nothing here is a trap, and anything that could be read two ways is written the way that favours you.
What you are buying
A seat on a named cohort: its lessons, notebooks, live sessions and recordings, an instructor who reads your work, and a certificate if you finish. Access to the material stays open for the rest of the cohort and does not close behind you week by week.
You are not buying a job, a publication, or a specific result. We teach the methods and mark the work honestly; what you build with that is yours.
Your account
One seat, one person. Sharing a login is the one thing that will get an account closed without a refund, because a cohort is sized around the people in it and a shared seat takes someone else’s place.
Keep your password to yourself. You can change it at any time from the account page, and we will never ask you for it.
The material
Slides, notebooks and recordings are ours, and yours to use for your own learning and your own research, including work you publish. Keep them; download them; adapt the code.
What you may not do is redistribute them, sell them, or teach from them commercially. If you want to teach from this material, ask — we have said yes before.
Your capstone, your notebooks and your writing are entirely yours. We ask permission before showing any of it to anyone.
Dates
Modules open on published dates, computed from the cohort start date, and every one of them is visible on your calendar from day one. If a live session has to move we tell the cohort in advance and the recording still lands.
If we move the whole cohort by more than four weeks, that is a refund at your option — see the refund policy.
Conduct
Be decent to the other people in your cohort. Harassment gets an account closed. That is the whole rule and we would rather not have to write more of it.
What we do not promise
Third-party tools — Colab, Kaggle, PDB, ChEMBL — are outside our control, and free tiers change. Where one becomes unusable mid-cohort we find a route around it, but we cannot guarantee a free service somebody else runs.
Nothing taught here is clinical or regulatory advice. Computational results are hypotheses until someone runs the experiment.
Changes
If we change these terms, the version in force for you is the one published when you paid. We do not apply changes retroactively to a cohort that has already started.
