What we hold, and why.
A short list, because we collect a short list. Everything below is something the course could not run without.
What we hold
Your name and email, from signing up. Your application answers — occupation, organisation, discipline, how much Python you write, country, and what you want to build. Your payment reference, amount and currency, but never your card details, which never reach us. Your progress: lessons ticked off, quiz attempts, assignment submissions and grades. Anything you write in a live session or an assignment.
Why each of those
The application answers decide how the teaching is pitched and how capstone groups are put together — the Python question in particular is what tells us whether to point somebody at the Bootcamp instead. Progress is what unlocks the gate and issues a certificate. Payment records are what let us find your seat when something goes wrong, and are kept for accounting.
We do not build a profile of you for advertising, and there is nothing to sell, because we do not sell it.
Your profile picture
There is no upload, and no Gravatar lookup. The doodle on your account is drawn in your own browser from your account id. Nothing about your face or your likeness is involved and nothing leaves the page.
Who else sees it
Supabase hosts the database. Selar processes payments and holds its own record of the transaction under its own policy. Google, if you sign in with Google, tells us your email and name and nothing else. Gmail carries our email to you. Groq processes lesson transcripts to draft notes and a first-pass review of assignments.
Nobody else. Other learners in your cohort see your name and, if you are in a capstone group, the component you have named. They do not see your grades, your application, or your payments.
How long
Your account and progress stay until you ask us to delete them. Payment records are kept for seven years, which is what accounting requires and is the one thing we cannot delete on request.
Getting it out, or getting rid of it
Email aisynthlabs@gmail.com from your account address. We send everything we hold about you within thirty days, as a file you can actually read, and we delete on request within the same window apart from the payment records above.
Cookies
None for tracking. The site stores your sign-in token, your theme choice, and — if you are an admin — whether you are viewing as a student. All three live in your browser, are read only by this site, and are cleared when you sign out.
If something leaks
We tell you, and we tell you what was in it, within seventy-two hours of knowing. Not a notice buried in a changelog.
